Birmingham Airport wanted to promote long-haul flights to multiple destinations and position itself as the start of memorable journeys for its customers, frequent flyers and occasional travellers.
Appealing to travellers looking for meaningful experiences, I worked with a copywriter to explore travel through emotional nostalgia and relatable humour. The first concept highlights meaningful places and personal moments to evoke shared memories, while the second concept uses playful exaggerations of familiar airport ‘characters’ to generate relatable recognition and humour.
Together, the concepts reinforce Birmingham Airport as a gateway to memorable journeys, where every departure begins a story worth telling.
